Which is why I'm on here posting crack. I've had the first chapter of this typed up for literally over a year, as Platy can attest, but never got around to tweaking it and putting it up. There will be more, but I can't say how soon that'll be, since the rest of it isn't quite so ready to go. I just felt like actually putting out some writing for once, and maybe having it out there and in progress on a few sites will help me get my butt in gear when it comes to writing in general.

Title: The Care and Keeping of Your Timelord
Summary: Set after the events of The Sound of Drums and Last of the Time Lords. The Doctor finds a somewhat...unconventional...way to "keep" the Master onboard his TARDIS.
Warnings: Pure, unadulterated crack, and it's only going to get weirder as we go on.

As at least one of you knows, I participated in the [livejournal.com profile] dw_cross ficathon this year. The names of the authors were posted a while ago, allowing me to crosspost and claim credit, but I hadn't gotten around to it because I wanted to do a little teensy bit of editing and reformat it to work on ff.net.

Anyway, here it is: Let’s Do the Time Loop Again, a Stargate SG-1 crossover based on one of my favorite SG-1 episodes, Window of Opportunity. It involves both loss of sanity and an unintentional trip (or ninety) to Siberia.

I'm starting to think about crossposting my DW fics to Teaspoon. I got an account on there last night so I could review stories people hadn't bothered to crosspost to ff.net or LJ. I kind of prefer to keep using ff.net because of the whole Tin Dog thing, but maybe it wouldn't hurt to put my work up in two places.

ETA: And, on an unrelated note, you can has animayshun:

I've already been pimping this out to anyone who complained about the finale, but I figure I ought to make a post as well in case I missed anyone who happened to be quiet about it.

So, if you're a Doctor Who fan, and you are unhappy about a certain something that happened at the end of the finale, go read [livejournal.com profile] nobleplatypus's fixit fic. Spoilers abound, of course, so consider yourself warned.
The Scientific Method, which now has a second chapter.

That is all.

Decided to go through all those pictures I've saved to use in icon making, and found a few that actually sparked something. Two Disney World, one PotC, one Brother Bear, and two Mork and Mindy.

ETA: I updated OOC Jack. Mmm...looking back at some of the earlier chapters, I have no idea where I got some of this stuff. Ah well...as long as new stuff keeps springing to mind, I suppose it's all right if I've lost a bit of the original mindset.
That's all right. Can't really express how I feel about the ocean on here anyway. It's both great and terribly not great, do you know what I mean? Anyway, yanked this from [livejournal.com profile] gundamkiwi. Considering the fact that I don't get that many comments normally, I'm going to change the rules a little just for myself and say that if, after I've written the drabble for you, there haven't been ten comments, you can request another one, as many times as you like until there have been ten and as long as you wait for me to actually write the buggers before listing off another one.

The first 10 people to comment on this post get to request a drabble– 100 words – on a subject/character of their choosing from me. In return, they have to post this in their journal. Post all fandoms you’re willing to write for.

-Phantom of the Opera (Leroux, ALW, Schumacher, 1925 and 1943 film versions only--please specify)
-Pirates of the Caribbean
-Secret Window
-Any Tim Burton film (excluding Cabin Boy and Batman Forever)
-Chronicles of Narnia
-Crime and Punishment
-Dracula 2000
-Beauty and the Beast (Disney version)
-Dear Frankie
-The Emporer's New Groove (disregarding the TV series because it shouldn't have been made)
-Invader Zim
-Lexx (yea, right, someone's going to request that)
-Princess Bride

ETA (what does ETA stand for, anyway?): 3/10 drabbles requested and written. Come on, folks, I need the practice. Remember, too, that you three can request a second one any time now.

ETA as of much later: the meme is closed--this post is public in order to show off the drabbles I wrote.
...sorry, Mr. Leroux.

Mmm...apologies also to anyone on the flist who'll get this post twice because they're also in the PPC Plotholes community.

I watched Dracula 2000 again last night and enjoyed myself thoroughly. I turned the commentary on and actually spent most of the time with the movie in the background while I edited my *cough* fanfic...parody...thing. It's...yeah. I'm looking forward to posting that even though the D2K fanbase is teensy. You'll all read it, right? *puppy eyes* Not that it's anywhere near done, and I ought to be working on OOC Jack...but that one can probably wait until the second movie comes out and we get flooded with badfic again. And yea, still in the middle of the PotO story, but I just recently finished a chapter and sent it off to Frotu for editing, and what with all the school stuff she has to deal with right now it's going to be a while before she sends it back, and then after that we have to work on the next part of the outline before I can write again anyway. Twelve chapters and we've finally covered the first of thirty-five years.

Anyway, as I meant to say before I went off about fanfiction, I posted a review of the film to IMDb. Seriously, it's a funny, funny movie.

Still feeling the kilt love. Gehhh....
I didn't post this over here when I wrote it because I didn't like it then. [livejournal.com profile] gundamkiwi has been busy archiving plotholes on [livejournal.com profile] ppc_plotholes for those of us who didn't so it ourselves. Lo and behold one I wrote pops up. My immediate reaction was "...I wrote that? when?", but then I reread it and decided I liked it well enough to share on my regular journal. Apologies to those who have already gotten it through the community.

I'm going to post a plothole-filler I wrote at the PPC board last month. Bit late, but I felt really proud of myself when I did it.

For those who don't know (read: possibly every person on my flist other than Boz), Fill the Plotholes is a game where one person wanders around FF.Net, reading summaries. When they have found a lot of really bad summaries, they post them on the board, and everyone else is invited to write a new (usually humorous) story to go with one of the summaries.

The summary of doom:

8. Shadow by Elfy12
The beginning is about Elronds youngest daughter Talia, and her struggle to find herself, and what she finds when she leaves to do so and goes where she's been told not to go countless times.

and the resulting story of doom )
So I found out how to make it go to read more. I'm only putting up the parodies that are likely to get deleted over at ff.net, so if you want to read all my stories, please go to the link on your left that says it's to my ff.net account. I think you'll enjoy it as long as you steer clear of the Inu-Yasha story.

Now I'm going to paste in the parody I feel is in the most danger: The Astronut's Wife.
