I exist. I write stories. I do all sorts of inane things because I like to.

As of spring 2008, I have decided against continuing to delude myself into thinking I have any interest in attempting a career in the film industry proper, and am taking the necessary steps toward getting into motion picture archiving and restoration. I am getting a double degree (in film and...film) from the University of Colorado at Boulder, with a minor in Russian studies, and have doomed myself to grad school through my career choice. While this is all a huge amount of work to get where I want to be, I'm finally feeling good about the direction in which I'm headed. When you consistently have major squee over silent films (the 1924 version of The Thief of Bagdad is so awesome it hurts), it's probably time to consider becoming an archivist.

You may notice that I'm a member of few asexual communities--yes, I do identify as asexual. Yes, you can ask me about it, though you might get more complete, representative answers if you go to AVEN and read their FAQs.
